I know for a certainty, at least in the US, no member of the order receives anymore money than the usual allowance. If you find these things on LinkedIn, what is most likely people will put an equivalent job title and what an average salary would have been. Every bethelite that leaves struggle with how to define their work. I know for myself and people I know, will sometimes put it down as in job experience and some as volunteer experience. I had professors who were also current or former hiring managers who didn't agree with the others opinion, even some of them would tell me to put it as volunteer experience and some as job experience.

ROJW - Religious Order of Jehovah's Witnesses
by OrphanCrow ini was going through some research i had done a few years ago and came across something that referenced rojw healthcare support and a note to myself to take a look at rojw when i had the time.
so i did a search for rojw (an acronym for religious order of jehovah's witnesses).. the search turned up some interesting bits of information.. according to dun & bradstreet, rojw was founded in 2011:.
since 2011, rojw has been providing nonclassifiable establishments from wallkill.. for a list of persons who have worked for rojw:.

Update to UK “Child Safeguarding Policy”
by wifibandit ina known poster on this site (anon) says:.
i have just received a text from an elder i've known for decades in my circuit who has some sympathy for my feelings and who is aware of the arc, the uk charity commission, etc., etc.
here it is verbatim, and my reply.

OrphanCrow. Then in the same light who are to condemn people who want to JWs or even condemn Watchtower. What position are you in to do that.

OrphanCrow. You state that IF are not valid things. And you used the Bear thing as an example. Then please explain how do things change. It is someone comes up with an idea and then determines what would be the result of making those changes, those are hypotheticals until the changes are implemented. Just admit that no matter what Watchtower does, even if every expert and government in the world agree that their policy protects children you wouldn't be satisfied. -

OrphanCrow. The ARC knows that they don't have the authority to make a change like you are bringing up. They know that their own freedom of religion laws would prevent them from forcing a religion to do something that has no public safety effects on it. Western Governments, like the UK and Australia won't force religions to do something that they cannot show a clear public interest need. Examples of that would be stopping religions from handling dangerous snakes in public or consuming otherwise illegal narcotics. Any reasonable person would not contend that making a religion, incorporate women into a "priest or minister" roles is a need of the public's interest. That would mean that they would have to force, Muslim communities to make women Imams, Catholics to make women priests and the examples go on and on.
But Watchtower UK has made it clear that women can be involved in a JC, though they wouldn't have a vote in the matter of what actions to take, but women can be used to protect the interest of the child. In the police it states.
"If the child expresses to the elders discomfort in discussing the matter in the presence of a parent, and the parent agrees, then the child may be gently told that he or she may choose an adult companion other than a parent, with whom he or she feels comfortable speaking about the matter, to be present during the discussion."
So even though a woman may not be in the discussions for if someone would be DF or not they would be there as a comfort to the victim and to protect them emotionally.

I do believe that this policy is going to be presented to the UK Charity Commission, to either resolve any concerns that Commission has with their policy or face their continued investigation. I also believe, that a version of this will be presented to the ARC, as their meeting in March is not dedicated to hear about new allegations but how Watchtower Australia is responding to the Commission's recommendations. So I do believe that this document or a version of it will be either accepted or rejected by two different governments. Though my question to everyone here is. If 2 separate governments and their experts, find that this policy is sufficient to protect children and comply with the laws of the land, will people accept it or will they keep using the policy to demand changes to Watchtower?

Demonizes medical techniques and jws
by Crazyguy inso i remember in the 70s and 80s kenisalogy ( spelled wrong) was talked about as being demonized and wrong.
for those of you not familiar with the term it was used to describe alternative medical techniques used by some.
these could include massage techniques for healing, acupuncture, cranial sacral , aroma therapy, acupressure, etc etc... so my daughter has been dealing with a very painful condition and western medical has only one solution which is a bad one so we have been searching and using some of these other types of medical treatment along with a couple of others that are unique and would maybe fall under the umbrella of this term.

Kinesiology by definition is the study of the movement of the muscles of the body. In fact many colleges list their physical education classes under the heading of kinesiology. It is not defined by any of the terms you listed. I know that the US branch has a massage therapist and physical therapist on staff in order to help those who have legitimate need for their services.

It appears that many here have the complaint that it is the official policy that they have an issue with, not that there were elders who didn't follow the official policy. So if the UK Charity Commission and if they use the same policy in Australia to show the ARC. If one or both of those commission's accept it as acceptable policy. What do u think about that?

watchtower lapel pins
by wannaexit ini've been noticing lots of these pins on lapels.
i could almost understand the jwdotorg pin because the new mantra is to go to the website.
but why on earth are they sporting a building?

Yes just as JeffT highlights, Copyright law is very complicated and the Copyright Act has a lot of reasons why something is copyrightable and why something isn't.
Yes people are making money off of these things but it is not Watchtower.

This document will either be accepted by the UK Charity Commission as assuring them that the matter will be handled better or they will enter into more negotiations with UK Watchtower to make more changes. Either the Charity Commission will either be satisfied with this and end at least a portion of their investigation or will reject it and continue on with their investigation in full. This will probably also be used in Australia to show the ARC the changes they are planning on making to their policy. And again the ARC will either accept it or reject it and continue with negotiations.
So here is my question. If the experts who work and consult for these government organisations are satisfied with the changes, what continues to be the problem, from a organization point?

I have a question.
This document will be presented to the experts at the UK Charity Commission, for them to either accept it and possibly end at least a portion of their investigation or will be rejected and further negotiation between the Commission and UK Watchtower. This document will probably be adapted to Australia as well, for the ARC to either accept it as a sufficient change to policy or again go back into negotiations for further changes. So here is my question, if the experts feel that these changes are sufficient to protect children, what do you think about that?
